Cleansing Contrition
Physical Description:
Conor Mercer is a sharply dressed man with controlled posture, clear blue eyes, dark auburn undertones in his hair, and the calm, dangerous stillness of a prosecutor who already knows where the pressure points are. He favors tailored suits, polished shoes, a silver cross, and black smart glasses that look fashionable enough to pass as luxury and tactical enough to raise questions. In Crinos, he becomes a towering Shadow Lord war-form with storm-gray to black fur, faint auburn tones through the mane and shoulders, cold blue eyes, long claws, and torn remnants of formalwear clinging to a reinforced inner harness — less a mindless beast than an old, bloody verdict given flesh.
Personality:
Conor thinks he is still a good man, even though he has become compromised: a semi-corrupt corruption-hunter who believes bad tools can still serve good outcomes. He always tries to have the edge — money, information, leverage, someone who owes him, or knowing which horse is doped before the race starts. He plays chess badly when he wants people interested, well when he wants them invested, and ruthlessly when he has already decided they are guilty.
Catholic background: Raised Catholic around Baptists, Conor still thinks in terms of sin, confession, saints, demons, sacred authority, and the power of names. The Garou have not replaced that worldview; they have expanded it.
Backstory:
Conor Mercer is a Jacksonville Assistant State Attorney and legal fixer with rental properties, private-club access, and enough courthouse influence to make problems disappear before most people know they exist. His controlled life broke open when he woke at his Bradford Triplex to find Sophie — an escort, informant, and dangerous loose thread in his corruption work — murdered beside him, with no clean memory of what happened. Conor survived the immediate fallout by doing what he does best: controlling records, cameras, access logs, and alibis. But Sophie’s death was not merely a crime scene; it was a spiritual wound threaded with corruption, hidden names, and Wyrm-taint. His Rite of Passage forced him back through that night without his usual legal weapons, and though he still has not solved Sophie’s murder, he proved he could track the unseen by its effects — earning the deed name Seeks-the-Names.

Notes:
When things go sideways: Conor removes his smart glasses, puts them safely in a protected lapel pocket, clears his throat, and silently dares someone else to make the first move.
This will continue to be a notable affectation even once he has his glasses dedicated (if quick change is unnecessary)
