The origin of this flaw is a mental trauma and only Luna making peace with her past will allow for the flaw to be bought off.
Jessica gets the equivalent of a 'boon' from Gregory for alerting him and staying with Luna until he could be with her, as well as avoiding the situation from degenerating.
